DRP 5 Aquatic Growth Formula

This is the largest pellet in the DRP food range at 4.1 mm in size. Very suitable for pleco's and L-Numbers./ This food is also very well absorbed and pleco's just love it so much that they leave other foods to take the DRP5 pellets. The high protein content in this food range does not lead to bloat as is the normal thought with foods containing high protein content. The reasoning behind this is that the fiber content in the food increase in ratio as the food moves through the fishes intestines therefore making it less likely to cause constipation or as we know it, bloat. This has been proven by feeding L 270's and L 134 pleco's for more than 8 months exclusively on the DRP range of foods, not only the DRP 5 but the 1,2,3, and 4.

Benefits of the entire DRP food range is the fact that the food is extremely well absorbed. This means that the fish naturally produce less waste in your aquarium. The fiber content passes through the fish without being absorbed. This ensures the ratio of fiber to other waste passing through the gut is relatively high therefore preventing constipation or so-called bloat in the fish. These benefits allow this food to be fed to fish types like Pleco's and goldfish without the fear that it will result in bloat. It is highly recommended that you vary the diets of your fish and never just feed one single food type exclusively.
